Why I’m Loving the Burt’s Bees’ Natural Sensitive Skincare Line

For years, I’ve known Burt’s Bees to be a household name- boasting all kinds of natural skincare and beauty products. If you know me, you know I’m extremely particular about what goes on my skin since mine has always been super sensitive and reactive. Actually, so many people have sensitive skin, whether they know it or not. Working as a pharmacist for the last eight years, I’d see people come in all the time to purchase harsh prescriptions and chemical-filled products, when really, what they needed was to take a more soothing, natural approach. So many people don’t realize that they have sensitive skin until they take a step back from the products they’re using. That’s exactly why I wanted to partner with Burt’s Bees to show you their Sensitive Skincare Collection. Not only does this collection cover all the basics, cleanser, moisturizer, eye-cream, and makeup remover, but all of these products are infused with clean, quality ingredients…. Plus, it won’t break the bank.

The Burt’s Bee’s Sensitive Skin Care Line is one that you can find online or in drugstores like Target or CVS, so it should be super convenient for everyone to access. Also, most of the products that I’m about to mention are at most $15, so it’s really amazing and rare to find a quality brand that you can buy at such a fair price.

If your goal is to get healthy, glowing skin, then using the Sensitive Skin Care Line is a great start. I also highly recommend that you work on making some other, simple, lifestyle changes as well. The most important thing to focus on is staying hydrated. After using these products in the morning, reach for a large glass of water. It can have lemon, apple cider vinegar, or it can just be plain. Whatever makes you drink more. I also really encourage you to practice meditation (if that is something that helps you de-stress), yoga, or Pilates. Any kind of practice that adds movement to your day is going to be beneficial for you and your skin because, by increasing your blood circulation, you’re reducing your stress levels and allowing your hormones to become more balanced. The more balanced your hormones are, the better your skin will be. (Plus, more circulation in general will give your skin a beautiful glow!) Making these lifestyle changes, along with caring for your skin with products like these that help cleanse, moisturize, and shield skin from potential irritants, is what’s really going to help get you the skin you’ve always wanted.

I really wanted to highlight this specific collection because even though we all have different skin types, (dry, combination, sensitive, acne-prone, etc.) we can all benefit from using at least one or two of these products. One of the first things I look for in a skincare brand are clean, natural ingredients. The Burt’s Bees Sensitive Skincare Collection features cotton extract as one of the main ingredients in every product.

There are so many benefits to using this collection. To give you guys the best results, I put together a morning and night routine and added a couple tips and tricks that I swear by.

MORNING ROUTINE:  Start by splashing your face with lukewarm water to prep it for cleansing. Next, cleanse with the Sensitive Facial Cleanser to wash away any dirt or oil. Next, apply the Sensitive Daily Moisturizing Cream to hydrate your skin without causing redness or irritation. I always like to apply the Sensitive Eye Cream after I moisturize to reduce any under-eye puffiness. Then, of course, I always always apply my sunscreen before putting my makeup on. I recently checked out the Burt’s Bees Baby Nourishing Mineral Sunscreen, and I really like it. It has nourishing minerals and doesn’t make you super shiny or oily. A little tip that I recommend is using these mini bottles and filling them with your sunscreen so that you can store them everywhere – in your car, purse, makeup bag, etc.

NIGHT ROUTINE: Start by gently taking all of the makeup off your face using the Facial Cleansing Towelettes (I definitely recommend that you put these in your nightstand next to your bed for those nights where you’re just too tired to fully function, although I really encourage you to always take your makeup off and cleanse before you go to sleep!)  Then, use lukewarm water and splash your face a couple times before using the Sensitive Facial Cleanser. If I have the time, I like to let my face air-dry but if I just want to go to sleep, I like to pat my face dry with one of these towels. Once your face is dry, apply the Sensitive Daily Moisturizing Cream evenly around your face before using the Sensitive Eye Cream.

One thing that really stands out to me about the Burt’s Bees Sensitive Skincare Line is that you can use all of these products for both your morning and night routine, so it’s basically a two-in-one. The entire collection is simple, clean, and effective.

Also, another thing I love about this line is that there is no animal testing and no harsh chemicals. Basically, Burts Bees checks off all the boxes. :).  If you end up trying it, let me know what you think!
