Recipe - How To Make Vegan Cheese Sauce
Here is the one thing I hear most from my non-vegan friends: "I could never give up cheese!"
I'm empathetic to that, it's difficult giving up something you really love! I'm lucky to live in a city where I have access to a vegan cheese shop (yes, a store dedicated solely to vegan cheese). With that said, making your own vegan "cheese" sauce is SO easy! I just recently discovered how quickly I can do it, and I'm now obsessed. Here is the recipe:
2 cups almond milk
1/4 cup cashews
1 large clove of garlic
1/3 cup nutritional yeast
5 tsp brown rice miso paste
1 tbsp gluten-free flour
1 tsp paprika
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend well. Adjust seasonings as desired with sea salt, pepper, and more paprika. Heat on the stove alone or with veggies, pasta, etc. Enjoy!
